Genelec UNIO Personal Reference Monitoring – a professional-grade headphone monitoring system that bridges the gap between calibrated studio monitors and portable headphone workflows. The UNIO PRM system includes the 9320A SAM Reference Controller and 8550A Reference Headphones, delivering a unified, calibrated listening experience both in-room and on the go, with full GLM and Aural ID integration.

Unlike conventional headphones, the 8550A units are individually matched to the 9320A amplifier during production, ensuring exceptional precision and a flat frequency response. The system supports immersive audio formats with head tracking, providing consistency between your headphone mix and calibrated studio environment. The 9320A controller offers USB, analogue, and AES/EBU connectivity, enabling seamless switching between stereo, 2.1, or immersive systems. A built-in sound card, user-adjustable EQ, and personal calibration via Aural ID make this system ideal for critical referencing and mobile mixing with total confidence.

By combining GLM software calibration, Aural ID personalisation, and a robust headphone amplifier, UNIO PRM empowers engineers to maintain a consistent monitoring reference anywhere — from home studios to professional post-production rooms — all in a portable format. The 8550A headphones are not available separately unless registered via a 9320A unit serial number.
