GENELEC 8040BPM is a compact, bi-amplified active nearfield studio monitor delivering 180 W total power, equipped with Genelec’s Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) power management and Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE) technology for precise and clean sound. Perfect for project studios, workstations, and surround systems, it offers impressive sound quality comparable to larger monitors in a compact form factor.

The 8040BPM features a rounded MDE enclosure that minimizes diffraction, resulting in a smooth frequency response and excellent imaging. Genelec’s advanced Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW) technology provides extremely accurate directivity control, ensuring a wide and flat on- and off-axis frequency response, which reduces listening fatigue.

An optimized, curved reflex port maximizes airflow, allowing deep, clear bass reproduction without compression or port noise. The low-distortion 6.5" woofer and 0.75" metal dome tweeter are powered by dedicated 90 W amplifiers, providing high output with low distortion.

The Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) system automatically puts the monitor into low-power sleep mode when no input signal is detected, saving energy and protecting your gear. Versatile mounting options and the included IsoPod stand allow for vertical or horizontal placement with acoustic and mechanical decoupling from the surface.
