4th-generation Scarlett preamps offer a 69dB gain range — enough even for demanding dynamic mics like the SM7B — and studio-grade converters, the same ones found in Focusrite's flagship RedNet interfaces, deliver a 120dB dynamic range at 24-bit/192kHz resolution. Auto Gain and Clip Safe automatically set and correct input level, removing the risk of clipping during unmonitored recording.

A first recording session without sourcing gear separately
