Eve Audio TS112 — an active studio subwoofer featuring a proprietary 12" woofer, a 400 W PWM amplifier, and a passive radiator design instead of a bass reflex port, delivering a frequency response from 24 Hz to 300 Hz at a maximum SPL of 112 dB at 1 m, with a wireless remote for full system volume control from the listening position.

The problem with bass reflex ports in a studio monitoring context is well established: airflow through the port generates turbulence noise audible at high levels, and standing-wave resonances at harmonics of the port length colour the pass band in ways no equaliser can fully correct. The TS112 addresses this structurally: a passive radiator — a diaphragm without a voice coil — replaces the port, removing both turbulence noise and pipe resonances. The radiator's suspension acts as a restoring force below the tuning frequency, reducing subsonic excursions and resulting intermodulation distortion in the working range, while allowing a lower tuning frequency in a more compact cabinet than a reflex design of equivalent output.

Integration with Any Monitor System

The TS112 carries a complete set of balanced XLR connections: stereo in and out for transparent satellite throughput, plus LFE in and LFE/Sub out for surround configurations. The switchable satellite filter (full range or 80–85 Hz) high-passes the satellite signal without requiring an external processor. The variable subwoofer crossover frequency (adjustable 60–140 Hz) allows precise crossover alignment with the roll-off characteristics of the main monitors and the acoustics of the room. The phase switch (0°/180°) resolves the phase sum issue common when integrating a subwoofer with a monitor at a crossover point where physical distance between drivers introduces a phase offset.

Wireless Remote as a Working Tool

In a monitoring session, adjusting system level without leaving the sweet spot is not a convenience feature — it is a prerequisite for maintaining accurate reference level discipline. The TS112's wireless remote controls both the subwoofer level and the complete stereo system level (satellites and sub together) in a single operation, without reaching for monitor controls or an interface. The system volume range is -inf to +6 dB, separately adjustable for the sub and the full system.

KEY FEATURES

  • Passive radiator design — eliminates bass reflex turbulence noise and port resonances; lower cut-off frequency in a compact cabinet, reduced intermodulation distortion.
  • 400 W PWM amplifier — proprietary 12" EVE Audio woofer, response from 24 Hz, 112 dB SPL at 1 m.
  • Full balanced XLR I/O — stereo In/Out, LFE In, LFE/Sub Out; satellite throughput without additional hardware.
  • Switchable satellite filter (full range / 80–85 Hz) and variable sub filter (60–140 Hz).
  • Phase switch 0°/180° — phase sum correction when integrating with satellite monitors.
  • Wireless remote control — system and subwoofer level adjustment from the sweet spot.
  • Standby with DIP switch override — automatic standby can be disabled for continuous operation.
