The A-174-2 module features two high-quality modulation wheels: the left one is spring-loaded and outputs a bipolar voltage (approx. -5.5 V to +5.5 V), while the right one is unsprung and outputs unipolar voltage (0 to +8 V). The default configuration allows for expressive control, with a small neutral zone around 0 V for the center of the spring-loaded wheel, enabling precise modulation and return-to-zero behavior.
Each wheel's voltage range and center plateau behavior can be modified via onboard jumpers, though mechanical recalibration is required afterward. This makes the A-174-2 a flexible tool for customized control setups in any Eurorack environment. It occupies 14 HP of rack space and consumes minimal current, making it suitable even for compact systems.
