Coil Audio CA-70S MK2

Coil Audio CA-70S MK2 is a standalone 2U version of the CA-70 preamp with its own onboard power supply, built for studios that do not need the full PS6 modular system but still want the same American tube sound in one ready-to-run enclosure.

Its own power supply, longer tube life

The integrated power supply runs in slow-ramping mode with linear regulation, extending the life of the NOS tubes in the 6J7/6C5 circuit compared to switching B+ voltage on abruptly. That is a difference that matters with tubes that are no longer manufactured.

Same transformers, same tone as the module version

The high-nickel CT-110HN input transformer and CT-41 output transformer are the same components that build the CA-70 module's character, so moving to the standalone version loses nothing in sound, only gains independence from the PS6 rack. A 42-54dB gain range and a flexible mic/line pad cover most studio uses.
