Black Lion Audio BLUEY

Black Lion Audio BLUEY is a modified 1-channel compressor based on the 1176 Blue Stripe compressor model by the legendary sound engineer Chris Lord-Alge.

The creation story began when some components of Chris Lord-Alge's original 1176 wore out over time and were replaced, accidentally improving the compressor's sound. Chris wanted more compressors like that and approached Black Lion Audio, where engineers analyzed the modified compressor and recreated it as a new product, Bluey, preserving the unique sound of the original.

Bluey allows you to achieve the same distinctive vocal sound found on hit records made with Chris Lord-Alge's original modified compressor.
