The Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO MKII are premium, open-back Tesla studio headphones for mixing, mastering, and editing, boasting a frequency response of 5-40 kHz, a nominal impedance of 30 ohms, and a nominal sound pressure level of 94 dBSPL.
Second generation of Beyerdynamic's premium studio headphones features new TESLA.45 drivers. With a lower impedance of 30 ohms, the MKII headphones easily adapt to a wide range of playback devices without compromising sound quality.
New TESLA.45 transducer is developed and manufactured at Beyerdynamic's headquarters in Heilbronn, Germany. Its improved diaphragm minimizes distortion and provides a more precise tonal balance. It also contributes to preventing ear fatigue during extended sessions and delivers cleaner sound compared to the previous generation model.
TESLA.45 driver's diaphragm is made of PEEK polymer, ensuring deep bass reproduction, while a lighter voice coil made of aluminum-coated copper wire improves high-frequency transmission. Each driver undergoes extensive testing during production to guarantee consistently high sound quality.
DT 1990 PRO MKII are ideal for recording, monitoring, and editing musical material, offering a lively sound profile with powerful, deep bass. Their frequency response is quite linear and smooth in the upper midrange, and the high frequencies are balanced, making them a versatile tool for any studio.
