ASM Hydrasynth Deluxe is a powerful digital synthesizer with a 73-key Polytouch keybed supporting polyphonic aftertouch, wavetable sound engines, three oscillators, two filters, and a 67 cm ribbon controller for expressive performance.

The Hydrasynth Deluxe by ASM (Ashun Sound Machines) is a 16-voice digital keyboard synthesizer based on Wave Morphing synthesis. It combines an incredibly rich feature set with a refined sound engine, designed by an experienced development team. Its specially developed 73-key Polytouch keybed supports velocity and polyphonic aftertouch (MPE). The pitch and modulation wheels are ergonomically redesigned, and the intuitive interface features eight LED-ring encoders and a large OLED display, minimizing menu diving and putting powerful sound design tools at your fingertips.

Hydrasynth Deluxe offers dual-part multitimbrality (Upper/Lower), allowing it to play two patches with eight voices each across different MIDI channels simultaneously. It includes a 640-sound preset memory (five banks of 128 sounds each) and powerful tools like a highly programmable arpeggiator and chord mode. A front-panel mix control allows you to blend the two parts easily, similar to classic synths like the Jupiter-8.

Three main oscillators draw from a library of 219 waveforms, with Oscillators 1 and 2 supporting wave scanning across up to eight wave shapes. Each oscillator can be further shaped by four “mutators” offering FM, PWM (3 types), hard sync, harmonic sweep, and Wavestack for thick, unison-style tones. There’s also a noise generator and ring modulator.

The dual-filter architecture supports both serial and parallel routing. Filter 1 provides eleven different models, including 12/24 dB lowpass, highpass, and vocal types. Filter 2 is a 12 dB state-variable filter with continuous morphing from lowpass to bandpass to highpass, inspired by the SEM design.

Four effects blocks shape the final output: two blocks for modulation and dynamics (chorus, flanger, rotary, phaser, lo-fi, tremolo, EQ, compressor with sidechain), and dedicated delay and reverb sections offering multiple algorithms each.

Five loopable DAHDSR envelopes and five tempo-synced LFOs (plus a vibrato LFO) provide deep modulation options. Nearly every parameter can be modulated using the 32-slot modulation matrix. The Hydrasynth Deluxe also includes five CV outputs (Gate, Clock, and two assignable control outputs) and two CV inputs, enabling full integration into modular setups.

Performance is further enhanced with the integrated 67 cm ribbon controller, which supports theremin-style note input and real-time modulation. With illuminated pitch and mod wheels, a full-featured arpeggiator, and a robust chassis, Hydrasynth Deluxe is built for both stage and studio.
