Allen & Heath ZED-16FX

The Allen & Heath ZED16FX is a professional 16-channel mixer featuring 10 mono channels and 3 dual stereo channels, 3-band EQ with semi-parametric mids, built-in stereo USB sound card, 2 channels of I/O, 16 effects with Tap Tempo, and 100mm faders.

The ZED-16FX mixer is perfect for use in live performances, radio and TV studios, production companies, rehearsal spaces, and entertainment venues. The foundation of the audio preamplification scheme is the same as in the flagship Mix Wizard and GL consoles, ensuring very low noise and a high headroom of clean audio gain without frequency distortion.

Connectivity

The mixer provides options for connecting various instruments:

• TRS 1/4 connectors for instruments
• RCA connectors for media players, drum machines
• USB for recording and playing audio from your computer.

You will also find input connectors for connecting an external effects unit (stereo) and Rec out - a separate stereo output for recording audio, for example, to a recorder.

ZedFX Effects

Powerful processor with a set of 16 programs. The control interface is very simple - each effect has an activation button, the processing depth is adjusted individually on each channel. Also, for convenient use with vocals, you can change the effect volume on a separate fader, and some parameters (TAB Delay) can be changed using a Footswitch pedal.

USB Interface

Allows you to record a stereo mix in three variations - Main out, sum of AUX 1-2 and AUX 3-4. Also, it is possible to send the audio stream from the computer to a controllable stereo channel. This functionality of the interface allows you to use the computer both for playing tracks and for monitoring recording or broadcasting a stereo signal.

Control

All controls for frequency response parameters are arranged on rotary knobs, which are specially calibrated and tested. Volume control is implemented using long (100mm) faders. The master section has 2 knobs for each channel. Different switching modes are switched by buttons, next to which there is a description of the modes. The console does not provide complex routing options, so you do not need to have special knowledge to manage mixer functions.
