The Lensys Pro sits between the Listen Professional and Clear MG Professional in Focal's studio line, sharing its driver architecture with the high-fidelity Azurys and Hadenys models but re-voiced for studio use. A 26 Ω impedance and 100 dB SPL/1 mW sensitivity at 1 kHz mean the headphones drive cleanly from an audio interface or a laptop headphone jack, no dedicated amp required. A 5 Hz–22 kHz frequency response (±3 dB) and 0.3% distortion at 1 kHz / 100 dB SPL give a solid technical foundation for critical listening.
Neutral balance with a midrange lift instead of the usual scoop
Most consumer-grade closed-backs push the top end, making a mix sound exciting but harder to judge accurately. The Lensys Pro takes the opposite approach, gently bringing forward the midrange, most noticeable around 300 Hz and extending up to roughly 1 kHz. The effect recalls reference nearfield monitors like the NS10: the headphones expose low-mid buildup, boxiness, and unwanted resonances that brighter headphones can mask. For a mixing engineer, that cuts down on the time spent switching between monitoring systems just to catch midrange problems.
Built for long sessions and working on the move
At 306g, with a lightweight magnesium yoke and 24mm memory-foam earpads, the Lensys Pro addresses the fatigue that comes with long mix or tracking sessions. The drivers sit at a slight angle inside the earcups, improving stereo imaging and making the Lensys Pro suitable for binaural work and immersive formats such as Dolby Atmos. A folding design and included carrying case handle transport between the studio and field sessions, and the two supplied cables — a 1.2m straight cable and a 3m coiled cable — cover both desk-bound mixing and more mobile use.
