Apollo x6 with UAD Analog Classics Pro — a 16x22 rackmount Thunderbolt audio interface with two Unison preamps, six line inputs, and a UAD-2 HEXA Core processor, in the Analog Classics Pro configuration that includes over 80 UAD plugins: preamps, compressors, EQs, instruments, and effects.
Gen 2 Elite-Class AD/DA conversion runs at 24-bit/192kHz with dual-crystal clocking keeping jitter low at every sample rate. Two Unison inputs and two front-panel Hi-Z inputs cover vocal and instrument tracking, while six additional 1/4" line inputs connect the interface directly to hardware synths, compressors, or tube EQs without routing through a patchbay.
The full Pro library at the center of a permanent outboard rig
The Pro edition extends the standard Analog Classics bundle with reverbs from Capitol Chambers and Sound City Studios, the EL8 Distressor compressor, and instruments and synths. For an engineer who keeps external compressors, EQs, or synths patched full-time into the six line inputs, that means access to a complete plugin toolkit at mixdown without buying separate bundles for different tasks.
Surround mixing without an extra converter
Six line outputs configurable as ALT or a full 5.1 surround system with bass management let you monitor and export spatial mixes directly from the Apollo x6, without an external surround processor. The HEXA Core processor handles UAD plugins independent of the DAW's buffer, keeping latency low across every channel simultaneously during multichannel monitoring.
