Recording Consoles – Analog Mixing Desks for the Studio

Recording Consoles – Analog Mixing Desks for the Studio

A real recording console is a different animal from a digital mixer: every channel is its own physical signal path, with its own preamp, EQ and routing, all summed together in analog. This collection covers in-line and split consoles, plus dedicated mastering and summing desks.

In-line or split, and how many channels

A split console keeps the mix path and the multitrack monitor path on physically separate strips — simple to understand, common on smaller desks. An in-line console folds both into a single strip per channel, which is what lets a 24-channel console handle far more inputs than its channel count suggests. Trident 24 Channel 8 Buss Console is a classic in-line British design.

Where to start

Want the full console workflow with the classic British sound? Trident 16 Channel 8 Buss Console is the smaller entry point into the same circuit as the 24-channel version. Mixing entirely in the box and just need a dedicated summing and mastering desk? Dangerous Music MASTER is built exactly for that.

The brands we carry

We carry Trident and Dangerous Music.

Hear it in our Warsaw showroom

The biggest difference between us and a mail-order shop: you can hear the gear before you buy it. Our showroom at Nowogrodzka 6A/102 in Warsaw is there so you can try it on your own material, not a shop demo. Book a visit or just swing by — we'll help without the sales pitch. FAQ

Do I need a full console if I mix in the box?

No — most in-the-box studios only need a summing/monitoring desk like a Dangerous Music MASTER, not a full multitrack console with individual channel strips.

What does in-line actually mean?

Each channel strip does double duty — it handles both the live mix signal and the multitrack recorder return — so a 24-channel in-line console can manage far more inputs than a 24-channel split design.

Is a vintage console harder to maintain than modern gear?

It needs periodic servicing — recapping, fader cleaning — that modern digital gear doesn't. That's the trade-off for a fully analog signal path with decades of proven circuit design.
