HLabs Audio AMP2200 is a 2 × 200 W into 8 Ω reference power amplifier built on Hypex UcD Class-D modules in a fanless 1U chassis. It is assembled in the manufacturer's workshop in Saint-Vérand, France.
A silent control room, because there is no fan
An actively cooled amplifier in a listening room raises the noise floor by several decibels, and at quiet monitoring levels it is more audible than the detail you are trying to hear. The AMP2200 cools passively, because 92% efficiency at full power leaves very little energy to dissipate. The 1U chassis fits the same rack as the rest of the chain, so the amplifier does not have to live in a machine room at the end of long speaker runs.
An input stage that does not spoil the signal before it is amplified
Electronically balanced inputs with a studio-grade buffer match impedance to any source — a monitor controller, a converter, a desk — so the amplifier never loads the output feeding it. Neutrik XLR connectors with earth lift kill the ground loops that produce mains hum in a typical control room. Signal and clip LEDs per channel show the state of the chain without reaching for a meter.
