Audeze LCD-5s is the latest flagship planar magnetic headphone, representing a significant evolution of the acclaimed LCD-5. The headline innovation is the introduction of SLAM (Symmetric Linear Acoustic Modulator) technology, which dramatically enhances bass control and spatial precision without compromising midrange transparency. The headphones utilize 90mm planar drivers featuring nano-scale Parallel Uniforce™ diaphragms, Fluxor™ magnet arrays, and Fazor™ waveguides, delivering ultra-low distortion (less than 0.1%) and a frequency response extending from 5 Hz to 50 kHz.

The LCD-5s also boasts a refreshed design and improved comfort. The chassis is constructed from lightweight magnesium and carbon fiber, featuring new acetate earcup rings with a glossy tortoiseshell finish and copper accents. Newly sculpted leather earpads ensure better pressure distribution and seal, which is critical for the efficiency of the SLAM technology.
