Warm Audio WA76-P Pedal76
Configurer
The Warm Audio Pedal76 is an all-analog compressor pedal that seamlessly translates the legendary 1176-style FET architecture from the studio rack to the modern pedalboard. Sidestepping digital emulations, this unit relies on a fully discrete signal path featuring a custom CineMag USA output transformer. It delivers the ultra-fast transient response and rich harmonic weight inherent to classic rackmount dynamics processors, ensuring uncompromising control over the attack and sustain of your instrument in live and studio environments.
Studio-Grade Dynamics at Your Feet
Taming aggressive transients during slap bass performances or fast country picking requires a compressor capable of microsecond reaction times. The Pedal76 answers this specific need by providing a complete set of studio-grade controls: continuously adjustable Attack, Release, Input (threshold), and Output (makeup gain). The discrete Ratio selector offers the classic 4:1, 8:1, 12:1, and 20:1 settings, allowing tracking engineers and gigging musicians to dial in everything from transparent dynamic leveling to hard-knee limiting, all while preserving the core instrument tone and FET-driven saturation.
High Headroom and Flexible Routing
Integrating a hardware compressor into complex live rigs requires pristine signal integrity and adaptable I/O. Internally, the pedal steps up standard 9V DC power to 18V, significantly increasing headroom. This prevents unwanted clipping when hitting the front end of the circuit with high-output active pickups or line-level synth signals. Furthermore, the Pedal76 features an input sensitivity trimmer, switchable True/Buffered Bypass operation, and a dedicated balanced TRS DI output complete with a Ground Lift switch. This functionality enables sending a fully processed, transformer-saturated signal directly to the FOH console or an audio interface without relying on an external DI box.
