Warm Audio WA-47jr Black is a transformerless large-diaphragm FET condenser microphone inspired by the classic U47 FET design. Combining vintage tone with modern precision, it offers a smooth, detailed sound with extended frequency response and low self-noise, making it a versatile choice for vocals, drums, acoustic instruments, and broadcast applications.

The WA-47jr uses a custom K47-style capsule with a gold-sputtered 1" diaphragm that accurately captures sonic detail with natural midrange warmth and balanced high-end response. Its transformerless discrete Class A circuit ensures an exceptionally clean signal path, delivering fast transient response and extended dynamic range. Built with high-quality components such as Toshiba FETs, WIMA film capacitors, and Panasonic electrolytics, the microphone achieves professional clarity and consistency across all sources.

Offering three polar patterns—cardioid, omni, and figure-eight—the WA-47jr provides flexibility for a wide range of studio applications. A -10 dB pad switch allows recording of high SPL sources such as guitar amps or drums, while the 70 Hz high-pass filter reduces low-frequency rumble and proximity effect. The solid brass body with matte black finish ensures durability and resistance to interference.
