Vermona ReTubeVerb is a tube spring reverb that combines valve circuitry with mechanical spring reverberation in a 2U rack unit. It is assembled by hand and goes through extensive quality control before it ships.
Valve stage in front of the spring
The signal passes through four tubes: two ECC 83, one ECC 81 and one EM 84. The valve stage drives the spring, so the reverb takes on the tone and saturation of the tube circuit, a sound that suits guitars, keyboards, vocals and drums in a vintage mix. A three-band equalizer at 80 Hz (bass), 700 Hz (mid) and 6.5 kHz (treble) shapes the result.
Inputs for any source
A front 6.3 mm jack (1 MOhm, -20 dBu nominal) takes instruments directly. On the rear there is a 6.3 mm jack (100 kOhm) and an XLR input (600 ohm), both switchable between -20 and 0 dB, so the unit works with instruments, mixer sends and line-level sources. Outputs are on jack (1.2 kOhm) and XLR (200 ohm) with a maximum level of +12 dBu.
