The OP-Z is small enough that it ends up wedged between a laptop and a water bottle, and comes home with a scuffed shell or a bent encoder. The shell is tear and abrasion-resistant nylon 66, treated with a fire retardant and backed with PU for a 3000 mm water repellency rating. That covers the walk from the metro to the venue in the rain and setting the bag down on a wet pavement. The lining is water-repellent Japanese nylon, so moisture does not settle on the device from the inside either. The hardware is custom-designed in 7075-T6 aluminium alloy, the material you specify where a plastic buckle cracks after one season.
