Solton aart P-15 A

Solton aart P-15 A is a self-powered two-way bi-amped loudspeaker built around a 15" Neodymium aaCRAAFT driver on a 3" voice coil and a HF compression driver with a 3" voice coil and 1.4" exit, driven by a dual-channel Class D amplifier with FIR DSP. The key distinction from the aart T-15 A+ is the PP composite (polypropylene) enclosure instead of birch plywood — at identical acoustic performance the P-15 A weighs 21 kg, a meaningful difference when transporting multiple cabinets. A dedicated rain cover (art. 12640) makes it a complete solution for outdoor events.

15" Neodymium aaCRAAFT and FIR DSP — power and phase precision in a PP enclosure

The 15" aaCRAAFT Neodymium driver on a 3" (75 mm) voice coil delivers 700 W continuous and 2800 W peak power with a bass extension to 45 Hz (-10 dB), which handles standalone operation for light programme material without a subwoofer. The HF compression driver on a 3" voice coil with a 1.4" exit horn keeps moving mass low and improves transient resolution in the presence and air range. Dual-channel DSP with FIR filtering corrects phase at the crossover transition in a way IIR filters cannot — the result is consistent phase across the full 90° x 60° coverage angle and tighter stereo imaging in pairs. Four factory DSP presets cover fullrange, MF/HF, stage monitor and installation scenarios without cable changes. Switchable Line/Mix OUT and two XLR/Jack Combo inputs with Mic/Line preamps handle zone chaining and signal monitoring from the cabinet's rear panel. PowerCon In/Out supports daisy-chain mains distribution between multiple P-15 A cabinets without power splitters. Dual-band limiters protect LF and HF drivers independently.

PP composite enclosure and rain cover — built for outdoor use

The multi-angle PP composite enclosure resists moisture, corrosion and thermal deformation far better than plywood — it does not swell after rain, does not lose shape under temperature variation and needs no refinishing after surface scratches. At 21 kg the cabinet is a one-person lift. The dedicated rain cover (art. 12640) provides full protection during rain while the cabinet is on a stand, without interrupting the event. The M20 pole socket, two side handles and two M8 insert points cover stand, wall-bracket and stack mounting. Recommended subwoofer: aart SUB 18 A.
