Solid State Logic SSL2+ MK2 is a 2-in/4-out USB audio interface designed for professional home and studio recording, featuring 32-bit 192 kHz converters, 2 SSL microphone preamps, 2 instrument DI inputs, 2 high-current headphone outputs, a Legacy 4K Analogue Enhancement Circuit, 4 x Balanced outputs for monitors, outputs for sending CV to synthesizers, a loopback function, and a comprehensive SSL Production Pack software bundle.
SSL2+ MK2 is designed for beginner and professional musicians, producers, and engineers who demand the best sound quality and user-friendly design. It offers 2 powerful microphone preamps with LINE modes for synthesizers and INSTRUMENT modes for guitars/basses, providing up to 64 dB of gain with a dynamic range of 116.5 dB and -130.5 dBu EIN.
On the back panel of the SSL 2 Plus MKII, there are balanced separate outputs for connecting studio monitors with a dynamic range of 120 dB. Additionally, all outputs are DC-coupled, allowing you to send control voltages (CV) to synthesizers.
On the front panel of the audio interface, there are 2 high-current headphone outputs featuring NJM amplifiers. This allows the use of any type of headphones, including demanding models with large diaphragms. Accurate monitoring and performance are achieved through a high dynamic range of 119.5 dB. There are also 2 DI inputs for instruments.
The front panel of the SSL2 plus MKII has a 4K switch, which enriches the signal with harmonic distortions characteristic of the original SSL 4000 series console. The Legacy 4K analog enhancement system introduces a controlled amount of finely tuned, pleasant-sounding harmonic distortion and "direct," yet musical high-frequency eq boosting in the signal path.
