Shadow Hills Industries Mono GAMA

Shadow Hills Mono GAMA is the single-channel version of the Golden Age microphone preamp in the API 500 series, offering all the capabilities, features, and quality of the original. The Mono GAMA is built around a custom discrete operational amplifier, providing stunning accuracy, clarity, and depth across the entire frequency range.

The preamp input is transformer-balanced and utilizes the original Jensen input transformer. You can change the output transformer by turning a knob, thus altering the tonal characteristics to suit any material you are recording. This allows you to audition different settings to find the perfect match for your microphone or direct input, potentially eliminating the need for an equalizer without bypassing or correcting other preamps.

All standard Mic-pre features are included: phantom power, phase reverse, 20dB pad, and direct input. There is also an option to complement and modify the phase of the direct input. The Shadow Hills Mono GAMA is further distinguished by its engraved front panels, a 24-position Swiss-made attenuator for gain adjustment, custom knobs, and engraved serial number plates.
