sE Electronics V7 MC2 is a supercardioid dynamic capsule built for Sennheiser handheld wireless transmitters, serving as the Sennheiser-compatible counterpart to the V7 MC1. It uses the same DMC7 element as both the MC1 and the wired V7 — an aluminum voice coil on a neodymium magnet — fitted with a threaded mount sized for Sennheiser transmitters rather than the Shure locking system.
DMC7 supercardioid capsule and patented integrated shockmount
The V7 MC2's supercardioid polar pattern provides a narrower acceptance angle than a cardioid and meaningfully higher gain-before-feedback — critical when monitors are positioned close to the vocalist and the stage is dense with open sources. The aluminum voice coil on a neodymium magnet delivers an open, transparent sound across 40 Hz–19 kHz with a gentle presence lift in the upper midrange, helping vocals cut through a dense mix without relying on EQ. The patented internal shockmount mechanically decouples the DMC7 element from the transmitter body: vibrations transmitted through the vocalist's grip don't reach the capsule, which means less mechanical noise in the monitor chain without needing to apply an additional highpass filter. The internal windscreen is switchable; two are supplied in the box (red installed from factory, black as spare) — colour and protection level adjusted to stage conditions. Gold-plated contacts ensure a reliable signal connection through years of touring use.Construction and Sennheiser system compatibility
The zinc alloy housing with a beveled, dent-proof and corrosion-resistant spring steel grille prevents the capsule from rolling off an amp or the stage floor. The MC2 is compatible with Sennheiser handheld transmitters with interchangeable capsule design. Available in four colour combinations — standard, black, blue, and black-and-blue — matched to popular Sennheiser transmitter finishes. No external power source is required; the capsule draws power from the transmitter.KEY FEATURES
