RME MRC (Multi Remote Control) is a 22-button infrared remote for the RME ADI-2 series of interfaces and converters. It handles standby, volume, balance, bass and treble, input selection, mute, loudness and EQ, and four programmable buttons give access to more than 50 functions. See RME gear in our Warsaw showroom.
Run the ADI-2 from your chair, not from behind the screen
Listening from the couch or the far end of the room, reaching for the knobs on the unit breaks your flow. The MRC replaces them with a remote: you set volume and balance, switch between optical, coaxial and USB inputs, and engage mute or loudness and EQ without getting up. The buttons are clearly labeled and readable in low light, and the layout is easy to remember. The remote does not interfere with other infrared devices, such as a TV.
Which units it controls
According to RME, the remote works with the ADI-2 DAC FS, ADI-2 Pro FS R Black Edition, ADI-2/4 Pro SE, ADI-2 Pro EX and ADI-2/4 Pro EX. Before you buy, check that your model is on that list.
