RME Digital Breakout Cable, SPDIF & ADAT Sync (BOHDSP9652)
Configurer
RME Digital Breakout Cable, SPDIF & ADAT Sync (BOHDSP9652) is a breakout cable for RME HDSP 9652 cards and the DIGI series. It turns the 9-pin D-sub connector on the card into two RCA (cinch) connections for SPDIF and a 9-pin D-sub for ADAT Sync. RME lists the cable as an accessory of the HDSP 9652. See RME gear in our Warsaw showroom.
SPDIF and ADAT Sync where you need them
The HDSP 9652 card has three optical ADAT inputs and outputs, while SPDIF and ADAT synchronization leave it through the D-sub connector. This cable splits them into standard RCA sockets for a CD player, a synthesizer, a converter or any other SPDIF device, and into a 9-pin output for ADAT Sync. The ADAT Sync In serves sample-accurate transfers between the card and an ADAT recorder, which matters when you move material without losing phase and position.
What to check before you buy
The BOHDSP9652 fits the HDSP 9652 card and the DIGI series according to RME. If you own another HDSPe card, pick the cable from its documentation, because RME makes separate breakout cables for different models.
