Quested V2104 Pair

Quested V2104 Pair is a pair of the smallest active monitors in the V2000 range: a four-inch paper cone and a 28 mm soft dome in a cabinet 262 mm tall. Power comes from a two-channel Class D module chosen for its sound and its small footprint, which is what lets the pair fit on a narrow desk or on arms beside an editing position.

A reference pair where eight inches will not fit

Running large monitors in a small room usually ends the same way: the room adds more low end than the speakers do and the mix stops translating. With a response quoted from 90 Hz within 2 dB, the V2104 does not pretend to cover the full band, but across what it does reproduce it keeps Quested's crossover behaviour and lets you judge vocal, guitar and depth balance properly. It makes sense as a cross-check pair next to a larger main system, and as the primary monitor for dialogue editing and podcast work.

A crossover placed above the speech band

The crossover point sits at 1670 Hz, above the most sensitive part of the vocal range, so the human voice is reproduced by a single driver instead of being split between two. Maximum SPL of 103 dB continuous and 109 dB peak covers normal listening levels in a booth or at an edit suite. The electronically balanced XLR and 1/4 inch combo input at 10 kilohms connects equally well to an interface or to a monitor controller.
