Peluso P-414 is a solid-state large-diaphragm microphone inspired by the AKG C414 — a versatile studio tool with a brass CK12-style capsule and a full switch set, with no need for a tube power supply.
Four Patterns Without an External Power Supply
Unlike the tube models in Peluso's line, the P-414 runs on standard 48V phantom power yet still offers four switchable patterns — omni, figure-8, cardioid, and hypercardioid — making it a flexible choice for vocals, acoustic instruments, and overheads.
A Pad and Roll-Off for Difficult Recording Conditions
A three-position pad (0/-10/-20dB) lets you safely track very loud sources without distortion, and a switchable low-cut filter (0/75/150Hz) reduces proximity effect and rumble from the room, useful in less controlled recording environments.
Four switchable patterns in a solid-state design is uncommon at this price point — most competing models cap out at three patterns for a similar budget.
