Novation FLkey 2 Mini 25 is a compact, two-octave MIDI keyboard controller — the second generation of the smallest FLkey, developed in official collaboration with Image-Line exclusively for FL Studio. At 0.78 kg and under 34 cm wide, it fits in a backpack and runs from USB without an external power supply, making it a fully capable production tool both in a home studio and on the road.

Eight rotary encoders auto-map to the active plugin's key parameters the moment it loads — FM operators in Sytrus, the Image module in Harmor, channel levels in the Mixer, all without manual setup. Sixteen RGB pads with polyphonic aftertouch cover Channel Rack triggering, Step Sequencer programming, and finger drumming across FPC, SliceX, and Fruity Slicer. The OLED display feeds back the currently adjusted parameter name and active chord in real time. Dedicated transport buttons, Undo/Redo, Score Log, and a Pattern/Song toggle keep the session moving without breaking hand position. Scale mode locks the mini keyboard to a chosen scale, removing out-of-key notes from the equation — critical when working fast on compact keys where accuracy is harder to maintain. Fixed Chord triggers full chord voicings from a single key, Chord Maps fires complete progressions from the pads, and the advanced arpeggiator generates and modifies sequences on the fly. A mini-jack MIDI Out port connects hardware synthesizers and external MIDI devices directly.
