Morphor Mult – Buffered — a buffered multiple in a 2HP Eurorack format, fully DC-coupled and ready to duplicate both audio and CV signals. A rear switch chooses between 1-to-8 mode, giving eight identical copies of a single input signal, and Double mode, which works as 1-to-4 and 1-to-3 for two independent inputs. If the second input is left unpatched, the first signal is automatically normalized to all eight outputs, so the module behaves as a full 1-to-8 mult without any extra switching.
A buffer instead of a passive splitter
A passive mult splits a signal by loading the source with every output that gets patched - on 1V/oct signals this leads to slight but audible detuning, and on CV it weakens the control voltage. Mult's buffered design isolates each output with its own gain stage, so splitting a clock, an envelope, or a 1V/oct signal eight ways introduces no voltage sag or tuning drift, regardless of how many outputs are in use at once.
One mult, two patching scenarios
Sometimes you need a single signal routed to eight destinations at once - a clock feeding several sequencers, for instance. Other times two independent signals work better, each split into a few copies, such as two different envelopes controlling separate sections of a patch. The rear switch flips the module from 1-to-8 to Double (1-to-4 plus 1-to-3), so one 2HP module covers both scenarios without keeping two separate mults in the rack.
