Millennia HV-3D-8 is an eight-channel microphone preamp built on the HV-3 transformerless discrete circuit. It packs eight channels of the same uncolored gain used in the HV-3C into a 1U-height rack unit, aimed at multitrack tracking of drum kits, ensembles and live recordings.
Eight channels, fine gain control
Each channel gives 1 dB to 64 dB of gain in 1 dB steps and a -20 dB pad, and a 15 mA phantom supply per channel powers condenser microphones. The noise floor is -130 dB EIN at 60 dB gain, THD is under 5 ppm (0.0005%) and the response goes from below 8 Hz to beyond 200 kHz.
Expandable for digital workflows
Options include DC-coupled inputs for ribbons, BK inputs for DPA microphones with high-voltage powering, and Dante or MADI digital expanders, so the unit can feed a console, an interface or a network.
