Millennia HV-32 is a single-channel microphone preamp in the 200 Series format, built on the HV-3 circuit that Millennia also uses in the HV-35 and the HV-3C. It fits API 200 frames and API Legacy and Vision consoles, so an existing API-format rack can get a different, clean preamp option.
Variable gain with a ribbon mode
Gain is continuously variable from 8.5 dB to 60 dB. A DC-coupled ribbon path adds a 10 dB boost, taking the maximum gain to 70 dB, which helps with low-output ribbon microphones. A 15 dB pad and 48 V phantom power cover loud sources and condensers.
Bandwidth and headroom
The frequency response runs from below 3 Hz to beyond 300 kHz (+0/-3 dB), noise is -130 dB EIN, and THD+N is below 0.001% typically. Maximum output reaches +28 dBu, leaving room for hot signals.
