McDSP APB-16 is a 16-channel Analog Processing Box, a hardware processor combining analog saturation circuits with digital control and full integration with McDSP's plug-ins. This is not another conversion box, it is a physical analog signal path controlled from the DAW down to the sample.

Analog character, digital repeatability

Signal runs through McDSP's patented analog processing circuits, with multiple independent saturation paths, and conversion happens through 32-bit AKM converters. Unlike ordinary analog hardware, every setting saves and recalls automatically with the session, including sample-accurate automation, so a recording sounds identical every time the project reopens.

A ready plug-in bundle and low latency

The APB-16 ships with a full set of McDSP plug-ins ready to drive the unit, no extra purchases needed. It runs in AAX, AU, and VST3 across most major DAWs, and in low-latency mode (Pro Tools 2023.12 and later) at the smallest 207-sample buffer, it hits roughly 4.6ms at 44.1kHz and 4.3ms at 48kHz, low enough to monitor live through the APB while tracking.
