The DRM315 is a 3-way system – and that's its core advantage over typical 2-way cabinets at this power level. A dedicated 6.5" midrange transducer handles the 900 Hz – 2.5 kHz region where vocals and most instruments sit, relieving the 15" woofer and titanium driver from covering frequencies outside their optimal range. The result is midrange clarity and separation that 2-way designs at this SPL level consistently struggle to deliver without an external processor.
Advanced Impulse DSP and DRM Control Dashboard
The Advanced Impulse DSP module applies linear-phase FIR filters with transducer time-alignment and phase correction across all three drivers – eliminating transient smear and coherence issues that appear in systems without precise crossover calibration. Crossover points sit at 900 Hz (LF/MF) and 2.5 kHz (MF/HF) with 24 dB/octave slopes. The rear-panel DRM Control Dashboard provides single-encoder access to four voicing modes (Live, Club, Speech, Sub), 3-band parametric EQ with ±12 dB range per band, alignment delay up to 100 ms, a variable HPF (40–160 Hz), and six user preset slots. A 4-digit system lock passcode is available for rental and install applications.
Cabinet design and rigging options
The vertical trapezoidal 15 mm plywood enclosure with polyurea coating and powder-coated perforated steel grille is built equally for touring and permanent installs. The DRM315 is the only model in the DRM range that supports both vertical and horizontal flying via M10 flypoints – the rotatable waveguide assembly maintains 90° × 60° coverage regardless of orientation. The PFC power supply operates across 100–240 VAC without configuration, handling voltage irregularities common on event venues. Direct Out and Mix Out on balanced XLR allow system daisy-chaining without an external splitter.
