Looptrotter Monster MK2 is a stereo FET compressor with tube saturation on the output, three independent circuits in one box: compression/limiting, tube saturation, and a mixer for blending dry and processed signal. The MK2 revision adds a thicker aluminum front panel and keeps the character that made the Monster recognizable in the first place.

Three circuits, one character

Gain reduction runs through a FET transistor chosen for generating low-order harmonics, with the signal passing on to a discrete operational amplifier. A separate tube saturation stage uses military-grade NOS tubes with extended service life, so compression and tube saturation are two independent sources of character rather than one simplified circuit trying to fake both.

2nd BOOST and full control over the blend

The 2nd BOOST function emphasizes even-order harmonics from the tube stage, deepening the warmth without losing definition. Most parameters are switch-controlled rather than continuous, the tube saturation stage being the exception, which makes settings recall exactly between sessions. Dedicated audio-grade balancing/unbalancing circuits and output capacitors close out the signal path without extra loss.
