The Cable's Role in the LCT 1040 System
The LCT 1040 is a complete microphone system comprising a tube/FET large-diaphragm condenser, an external PSU, and a detachable remote controller. The CBL5 cable is the link between the microphone and the PSU – the 10-pin connection carries both the audio signal and the power supply for the tube and internal electronics. Without this cable the system cannot operate. The CBL5 is the 5-metre variant, suited to standard studio layouts where the distance between the recording booth and the engineer's position doesn't exceed the cable's reach. Hirose 10-pin connectors at both ends provide a mechanically secure, stable connection that won't accidentally disengage mid-session.
