K&M Roughline 5 is a classic tripod microphone stand from the line König & Meyer built for the Polish market. At 2.4 kg it is the lightest of the five, which you only notice when a full set of stands has to go up a flight of stairs.
A tripod that stands upright on an uneven riser too
A wide leg spread on a die-cast zinc base gives lasting stability and lets you set the shaft absolutely vertical even on a stage that is not perfectly level. That matters more than it sounds: a leaning shaft slowly rotates the microphone and shifts the pickup axis mid-show.
Folds up and travels on
The tripod folds flat, so a full set fits in one bag instead of half a car boot. The rubberised clamping sleeve runs the shaft smoothly from 900 to 1600 mm, and you can adjust it one-handed while holding the microphone in the other.
