K&M 23966 Popkiller XL is a professional pop filter with a double nylon screen 200 mm in diameter and a 330 mm flexible gooseneck. Designed for modern studio applications where the large screen area eliminates plosive bursts and air blasts more effectively than standard filters with a smaller diameter. It mounts on all standard microphone stands without tools.
Large filtering surface and precise positioning
Standard pop filters with a 100–150 mm screen require precise placement in relation to the microphone, because a vocalist moving beyond the screen edge loses plosive protection. The 200 mm screen of the Popkiller XL gives more room to position the microphone and a freer stance for the vocalist. The 330 mm flexible gooseneck with an 8 mm diameter lets you angle and position the filter in any direction without tools, and once set it stays stable through the entire session.
Double screen and stand mounting
A single nylon screen reduces plosives but lets through a burst of air on b, p and t sounds recorded close up. The Popkiller XL's double screen with a plastic frame splits the airstream across two barriers, eliminating the artefact without colouring the microphone's sound. The screw clamp fixes the filter to stand tubes up to 30 mm in diameter, fitting virtually every microphone stand on the market. Gooseneck and clamp are included.
