JZ Microphones Black Hole Shock Mount is an external cradle on elastic rubber bands, made for the Black Hole series. It supplements the stand holder supplied with the microphone rather than replacing it, taking over where that holder runs out of headroom.
When the supplied holder stops keeping up
The BH2 and BH1s already carry shock-mount technology inside the body, and in most studio situations that is enough. The trouble starts on stage, in a room with a wooden floor, with a drum kit on the same riser, or on location where the stand picks up everything around it. A suspended cradle adds a second stage of isolation and cuts what travels up through the stand thread.
Handling without fighting the bands
The frame is dimensioned for the Black Hole body, so the microphone goes in and out without stretching the elastics by force and without any risk of it slipping while you set the angle. On sessions where positions change quickly, that translates directly into time.
