Focusrite ISA One Analogue — a single-channel microphone preamp with a Lundahl LL1538 transformer and an independent DI channel, fully analogue with the option to fit a 192 kHz A-D card later.
The same circuit found in the original ISA 110 module, and carried through four decades of Focusrite designs, sits here in a portable, single-channel enclosure. The front-panel DI has its own low/high impedance switching and a separate amplifier output independent of the mic signal path, and an insert on the balanced input lets you patch in an external processor before conversion.
A DI with its own amp output for guitar or bass
The front-panel instrument channel has independent impedance switching and its own rear XLR output separate from the main mic path — a guitar or bass signal reaches the converter and, through the DI's amp output, a guitar amp for reamping, at the same time, with no splitter or extra cable needed. The insert on the balanced input, switched in from the front panel, lets you drop a compressor or EQ into the path before conversion, and metering — a calibrated VU meter plus two six-segment peak indicators — reads pre- or post-insert.
A flexible path to digital: the optional 192 kHz A-D card
ISA One Analogue doesn't make you pay for digital conversion you don't need — the 192 kHz A-D card, with 118 dB of dynamic range, can be fitted at any time without engineering experience, using the exact same converter found in the ISA One Digital. Until then, ISA One Analogue stays a clean, portable analogue preamp feeding whatever external interface or converter you already have.
