Embodme Hard Cover is a custom-fit hard shell in impact-resistant polycarbonate, moulded to the outline of the Erae 2.
Protection for a surface that cannot be repaired
The Erae 2 is a 16,000-point force sensor matrix under a flexible skin — a construction that takes fingers and sticks all day but does not take point pressure from a sharp edge inside a backpack. Polycarbonate transfers load to the perimeter of the chassis rather than to the playing surface, so a cable, a key or the corner of a laptop pressed against it in transit never reaches the matrix. The fit is exact, so the cover does not shift while the instrument is carried.
Dust and everyday wear between sets
An instrument left on a stand in a studio or a club collects dust on its playing surface, and dust on a silicone skin then collects finger oils and builds a film you have to wash off. Fitting the cover after a set keeps that to a minimum and protects the edges from the scuffs that show up immediately on an aluminium chassis.
