Chandler Limited TG Microphone is a large-diaphragm solid-state condenser microphone inspired by the legendary EMI Abbey Road TG console technology. Combining the heritage of classic British recording gear with modern precision, the TG Microphone delivers the unmistakable warmth, presence, and harmonic richness of the original TG sound in a versatile studio tool suitable for vocals, drums, guitars, and more.
The microphone features a custom gold-membrane capsule and a unique solid-state FET circuit that mirrors the tone-shaping characteristics of the TG console preamps. Its Dual Tone System switch offers two distinct voicings: System A provides a forward, harmonically rich midrange reminiscent of vintage recordings, while System B offers a cleaner, more open sound ideal for louder or more transient sources. The built-in Tape Equalizer adds further tonal control with five selectable EQ curves based on the NAB/IEC standards used in EMI mastering rooms.
With selectable cardioid and omni polar patterns, a switchable high-pass filter (50 Hz / 90 Hz), and a -10 dB pad, the TG Microphone adapts easily to a wide range of recording environments. It includes a dedicated external power supply (not phantom-powered), a 25-foot Mogami 4-pin cable, an elastic shockmount, and a wooden storage box. Hand-built in the USA, it brings classic TG console tone directly into the modern studio.
