Audient Horizon 8P is a Thunderbolt 3 audio interface built around eight Audient console mic preamps with ORBIT Control variable impedance. Paired with 32-bit conversion at 133dB dynamic range and 0.99ms round-trip latency, the 8P puts a complete console-grade tracking front end in a single rack unit — built for the producer capturing performances with real analogue character and headroom.

Console character on every source

Eight Audient console preamps, David Dearden's circuit design from the ASP8024-HE console, give every source 75dB of clean, quiet gain. ORBIT Control reshapes each preamp's impedance in hardware across three voicings (high, mid, low), so ribbon, dynamic and condenser microphones get voiced at the source rather than fixed afterward with EQ.

Tracking and mixing without swapping gear

Two JFET instrument inputs on channels 1 and 2 take a guitar or bass direct, and when the session turns to mixing, eight DB25 line inputs bring the whole outboard rack in. 32-bit conversion at 133dB dynamic range and 0.99ms round-trip latency let you track and monitor through native plugins with no perceptible lag, and Horizon Control keeps routing and four independent mixes a click away.

KEY FEATURES
