Audient Horizon 16 is a 1U Thunderbolt 3 audio interface and converter built around 16 channels of line I/O over four DB25 connectors, with 32-bit conversion at 133dB dynamic range. It delivers 34-in / 34-out connectivity, a dedicated stereo mix-bus path, and 0.99ms round-trip latency — built for the engineer keeping an entire outboard rack patched while printing straight to the DAW.

An outboard rack that stays patched

Sixteen channels of line I/O across four DB25 connectors keep a full rack of compressors, EQs and a summing bus permanently wired in, with no repatching between sessions. The dedicated stereo mix-bus input takes the return from a summing box and prints the master back to the DAW, so hybrid mixing never costs a single input channel.

Latency that never gets in the way of plugins

At 192kHz with a 64-sample buffer, round-trip latency sits at 0.99ms, so native plugins stay lag-free during monitoring. Horizon Control handles the virtual patch bay, monitoring and metering from a single panel, and the architecture scales by daisy-chaining up to four Horizon units on one driver, up to a system maximum of 200 x 200 I/O.
