Arturia MiniFreak Stellar

Arturia MiniFreak Stellar is a special all-black edition of the six-voice MiniFreak hybrid synthesizer. Its dark intergalactic design surrounds the same dual digital engines, polyphonic analog filters, modulation matrix, sequencer, and stereo effects that make MiniFreak a versatile instrument for production, performance, and experimental sound design.

MiniFreak 5.0 expands the Stellar Edition with custom sample and wavetable import. Personal recordings, vocals, field recordings, one-shots, and content from existing sound libraries can be imported through MiniFreak V and transferred to the hardware for sample playback, granular processing, wavetable scanning, modulation, and analog filtering.

Stellar Edition – the same architecture in an exclusive finish

MiniFreak Stellar is functionally compatible with the standard MiniFreak while offering an exclusive black exterior with space-inspired graphics. It also includes the Stellar Infinity sound bank with 64 presets focused on cinematic atmospheres, science-fiction textures, sequences, leads, and sound effects.

Custom samples and granular engines

MiniFreak 5.0 accepts WAV, AIFF, and FLAC files through the included MiniFreak V software. Samples are converted to 12-bit / 32 kHz and can last up to six seconds each. The sample and granular engines can loop, freeze, scan, slice, and rearrange this material to produce rhythmic structures, abstract textures, percussion, drones, and animated pads.

Custom wavetables

Compatible mono wavetables, including tables from Arturia Pigments libraries, can be imported and converted to a 24-bit, 512-point format. Once transferred to the hardware, they can be scanned and modulated inside the Wavetable engine before passing through the analog filters and stereo effects.

Hybrid synthesis and performance control

Two digital sound engines provide 31 oscillator modes covering virtual analog, FM, additive, wavetable, sample-based, granular, and physical-modeling synthesis. Engine 2 can operate as another generator or process Engine 1. The 37-note velocity-sensitive keyboard with aftertouch, modulation matrix, sequencer, and performance arpeggiator make the instrument equally suitable for detailed sound design and spontaneous live performance.
