Apollo x6 with UAD Analog Classics — a 16x22 rackmount Thunderbolt audio interface with two Unison preamps, six line inputs, and a UAD-2 HEXA Core processor, bundled with the Analog Classics plugin collection. It sits in the middle of the Apollo X line, built for engineers running a substantial outboard rig.
Gen 2 Elite-Class AD/DA conversion runs at 24-bit/192kHz with dual-crystal clocking keeping jitter low at every sample rate. Two Unison inputs and two front-panel Hi-Z inputs cover vocal and instrument tracking, while six additional 1/4" line inputs connect the interface directly to hardware synths, compressors, or tube EQs without routing through a patchbay.
A signal hub for a permanent outboard rig
An engineer who keeps external compressors, EQs, or synths patched in full-time needs enough line inputs to leave that gear connected without repatching cables every session. Six line inputs plus a BNC wordclock port for syncing to an external clock make it possible to build a stable, repeatable routing scheme in an outboard-based studio.
Surround mixing without an extra converter
Six line outputs configurable as ALT or a full 5.1 surround system with bass management let you monitor and export spatial mixes directly from the Apollo x6, without an external surround processor. The HEXA Core processor handles UAD plugins independent of the DAW's buffer, keeping latency low across every channel simultaneously during multichannel monitoring.
