Apollo Twin X QUAD with UAD Analog Classics Pro — a 10x6 desktop Thunderbolt audio interface with two Unison mic preamps and a UAD-2 QUAD Core processor, in the Analog Classics Pro configuration that includes over 80 UAD plugins: preamps, compressors, EQs, instruments, and effects.
Gen 2 Elite-Class AD/DA conversion runs at 24-bit/192kHz with 129dB of dynamic range, and the two XLR/TRS combo inputs plus a 1/4" Hi-Z input use Unison technology, matching impedance and gain structure to modeled analog hardware from Neve, API, Manley, and others. Four DSP chips in the QUAD Core processor give twice the real-time plugin processing capacity of DUO Core, independent of the DAW's buffer and computer load.
The full Pro library at double the DSP power
The Pro edition extends the standard Analog Classics bundle with reverbs from Capitol Chambers and Sound City Studios, the EL8 Distressor compressor, and instruments and synths. Paired with the QUAD Core processor, that means a deep effects chain — compression, EQ, reverb, instrument emulation — can run simultaneously across several tracking channels without falling back on native CPU processing.
Band sessions without compromising the monitor mix
Recording several performers at once quickly hits DUO Core's limit on simultaneous plugin instances per channel. QUAD Core lets each musician hear their own fully processed monitor signal — compression, EQ, and reverb calculated in real time, at under 2ms of latency.
