Bastl Kastle 2 FX Wizard – update adds USB MIDI support!

Bastl Instruments Kastle 2 FX Wizard has received a long-awaited firmware update that adds USB MIDI IN/OUT support. Now this unique effects unit can not only process sound but also send and receive MIDI messages via USB.

New possibilities with USB MIDI

Thanks to the free update available on the manufacturer’s website, the Kastle 2 FX Wizard can now be fully integrated with other instruments and MIDI controllers. This opens up even more creative scenarios – from the studio to live performances.

Patchable effects processor

The Bastl Instruments Kastle 2 FX Wizard is a stereo multi-effects hardware unit offering nine different algorithms: delay, flanger, freezer, panner, crusher, slicer, pitcher, replayer, and shifter. It provides extensive modulation options with a built-in LFO, pattern generator, envelope follower, and LP/HP filtering.

Effects that inspire

The unit is divided into three groups of effects: Delay FX, Amplitude FX, and Pitch-Shifting FX. From classic delays, through glitchy slicers, to wild pitch shifters – it’s a true playground for musicians seeking unique sounds.

Connectivity and control

This compact box offers stereo inputs/outputs, trigger in, analog sync, a tempo generator with tap tempo, and now full USB MIDI support. The package includes 10 patch cables, allowing for creative signal routing and modulation experiments.

Availability

The Bastl Instruments Kastle 2 FX Wizard is now available at Wired Tunes. It’s the perfect tool for musicians who want to bring creative and patchable effects into their setup in a compact form.
