When you say "Neumann," you think "microphone." And rightly so, because the company founded by Georg Neumann in Berlin in 1928 laid the foundations for modern recording (they gave the world the U 47 and U 87). But in 2010, Neumann made a move that surprised the industry: instead of building speakers from scratch, they acquired and refined the legacy of another legend—Klein + Hummel. This combination of Berlin precision with K+H's decades of experience in monitor building gave birth to the KH series, which immediately became a standard in radio and television studios.
Neumann monitors (like the KH 120 or KH 310) are famous for their mathematically calculated MMD™ (Mathematically Modeled Dispersion) waveguide. Thanks to this, the sweet spot is wide, and reflections from desks or consoles are minimized. This is gear for engineers who hate surprises: the sound is "dry," technical, and brutally honest. If a vocal is poorly compressed, a Neumann will tell you straight to your face.
At Wired Tunes, we offer the full line of Neumann monitors, including the latest DSP-equipped models (KH 80, KH 150) that work with the MA 1 measurement microphone. This system allows for automatic calibration of the speakers to your room with a precision that used to require hiring an acoustician. It's the choice for those who want to be sure their mix will sound just as good in Berlin, London, and Warsaw.
