Italian company IK Multimedia started in 1996 as a software pioneer, creating revolutionary plugins mimicking analog gear (T-RackS, AmpliTube). However, they truly shocked the industry when they entered the hardware market. Instead of copying the large wooden boxes of their competitors, IK engineers asked: "Does a studio monitor have to be big to be accurate?" The answer was the iLoud Micro Monitor—the world's smallest active reference system, proving that advanced DSP could deliver linear sound from an enclosure the size of a book.
The key to IK's success is their uncompromising use of digital signal processing. Their monitors, including the newer iLoud MTM and the professional Precision series, don't rely solely on cabinet physics. They utilize built-in ARC™ calibration systems that adjust the speaker's response to your room's acoustics in seconds. Additionally, the unique MTM (Midwoofer-Tweeter-Midwoofer) design simulates a point source, offering incredible stereo precision even in the ultra-nearfield, eliminating desk reflection issues.
At Wired Tunes, we offer IK Multimedia monitors to creators who value mobility and modernity. It's the perfect solution for small home studios, broadcast vans, or traveling producers. With iLoud in your backpack, you can be sure your mixes will sound professional, whether you're working in a hotel room or a treated control room.
