sE Electronics V7 MC1 is a supercardioid dynamic capsule designed as the wireless counterpart to the wired V7 vocal microphone, built for Shure handheld transmitters and Audio-Technica 3000 series wireless systems. It uses the same DMC7 element as the V7 — an aluminum voice coil on a neodymium magnet — housed in a fully all-metal enclosure with no plastic parts.
Supercardioid pattern and patented shockmount — feedback and handling noise managed
The supercardioid pickup pattern of the MC1 offers a narrower acceptance angle than a cardioid and meaningfully higher gain-before-feedback — critical when monitors are positioned close to the vocalist and the stage is dense with open sources. The tighter off-axis rejection reduces bleed from neighboring channels, which on multi-channel IEM rigs directly lightens the monitoring engineer's workload. The patented internal shockmount mechanically decouples the DMC7 element from the transmitter body: vibrations transmitted through the vocalist's grip don't reach the capsule. In practice, that means less highpass filtering needed in the monitor chain and less manual EQ adjustment for physically active vocalists. The internal windscreen is switchable, with two versions supplied in the box (red and black), allowing color coordination with the transmitter and wind protection calibrated to the stage environment. Gold-plated contacts maintain a reliable, loss-free signal connection through extended touring use.Construction and Shure system compatibility
The zinc alloy housing with a beveled grille edge prevents the capsule from rolling off an amp or the stage floor — a simple detail with real consequences on a busy stage. The spring steel mesh grille is dent-proof and corrosion-resistant. The MC1 is compatible with all Shure handheld transmitters with an interchangeable capsule design (excluding the BLX and GLX-D series) and with Audio-Technica 3000 series systems.
